Keep it fair. Keep it fun.

01Respect

• Treat people decently.No harassment, bullying, threats or targeting a player across chat, DMs or Discord.
• No hate.Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and slurs of any kind get an immediate ban. No exceptions.
• Keep it appropriate.No NSFW content in chat, builds, skins, item names or signs. Ashen is a mixed-age community.
• Privacy matters.Never share anyone's personal information (real names, addresses, photos, IPs), even as a joke.

02Chat

• No spam.No repeated messages, wall-of-text, excessive caps or symbol spam.
• No advertising.Don't promote other servers, Discords or services. Sharing your own videos or streams of Ashen is fine.
• English in public chat.So staff can moderate it. Other languages are fine in private messages.
• Don't impersonate staff.Don't pretend to be staff or say you speak for them.

03Fair play

• No cheats.Hacked clients, X-ray (packs or mods), kill aura, fly, reach, auto-clickers and macros are banned. Performance mods (Sodium, OptiFine, shaders) and minimaps without entity or cave radar are allowed.
• No unattended grinding.Don't use weighted keys, scripts or contraptions to mine or fish while you're away. If you're farming, you need to be at your keyboard.
• Report bugs, don't use them.Duping, glitching into areas, abusing broken shops or exploiting rank and prestige bugs counts as cheating. Report them privately on Discord. Real reports may be rewarded.
• No lag machines.Don't build anything meant to slow down or crash the server.

04Economy & trading

• No scamming.If you agree to a trade, honour it. Staff can't always undo trades, so double-check before you hand anything over.
• No real-money trading.Don't sell or buy accounts, items, cash or cells for real money or other servers' currencies.
• No boosting.Don't use alts or friends to farm money, tokens, keys or vote rewards on your behalf.

05PvP

• Fight in the PvP mine only.Anywhere else, combat tricks such as lava, fire or trapping players to kill them are not allowed.
• No combat logging.Leaving, or using commands to escape mid-fight, is punishable.
• Loot is fair game.Items dropped in the PvP mine belong to whoever picks them up. Staff won't refund PvP losses.
• No teaming abuse or kill farming.Don't spawn-camp the PvP mine entrance or set up kills with friends or alts.

06Cells & building

• Your cell, your responsibility.Everything inside a cell you rent must follow these rules: no offensive builds, signs or lag machines.
• Lapsed means gone.When a lease expires, the cell is cleared automatically. Items lost to expired rent won't be refunded.
• No trap or scam cells.Don't lure players into a cell to trap, scam or harass them.

07Accounts

• You're responsible for your account.Rule breaks on your account count against you, whoever was playing. Don't share logins.
• Alts are allowed, abuse isn't.You may own alt accounts, but never use them to boost, vote-farm, evade punishments or get around limits such as one cell per player.
• No ban evasion.Joining on another account while punished extends the punishment to every account you own.
• Appropriate names and skins.Offensive usernames or skins can be blocked until they're changed.

08Staff & appeals

• Listen to staff in the moment.If you disagree with a call, take it to a Discord ticket. Don't argue in public chat.
• Don't beg for ranks or items.Staff can't give out ranks, money or items outside official events.
• Appeals.Open a ticket in the Ashen Discord with your username, what happened and why it should be reviewed. Be honest. Lying in an appeal means it gets denied.

09Punishments

Most offences follow the ladder below. Serious ones, like cheating, hate speech, doxxing or real-money trading, can skip straight to a ban.
